Go for linen if you live in a warm climate, if not, wear a nice cotton with some stretch or a nice ploy-blend. If its adults, a casual shirt and slacks, a casual suit. If its kids, no shorts (if offends some workplaces) but a nice t-shirt and pants rather than jeans. Later, if its children, you can wear whatever you want. I wear my gym clothes and my dress clothes, depending on my mood.
