If its your first day, you’ll want to make an impression, so dress nice, but if you are teaching children, don’t dress or shop too nice cuz you’ll be way overdone.

If its adults, a casual shirt and slacks, a casual suit.

If its kids, no shorts (if offends some workplaces) but a nice t-shirt and pants rather than jeans. Later, if its children, you can wear whatever you want. I wear my gym clothes and my dress clothes, depending on my mood.

DONT: wear the best out fit you have…because teaching is a job that requires 100% attendance and you will run out of CLOTHES if you are not verry waelthy…
DO: wear normal clothes eg: jeans and nice top that is suitable for weather conditions

you can’t go wrong with a basic lightweight suit with a chiffon shirt with cami underneath, low heeled pump and basic bag. Go for linen if you live in a warm climate, if not, wear a nice cotton with some stretch or a nice ploy-blend. Grays and yellows paired together are really pretty for spring.
