What should I know about Korean financial laws, before I go there to teach ESL?

This will be my first time teaching ESL overseas. Anyone have any advice? What sort of pay shoud I expect? What are common contract oversights?

    Teaching English in Korea can be a wonderful or a terrible experience - or both. When I was American Citizens’ Services officer at the US Embassy in Seoul, the largest numbers of calls we got were from American English teachers who were being cheated.
