ESL beginner student wants to learn daily conversation English.What would be the best topic to teach her first at least to create an impression that studying English is interesting.

    Your name, student’s name. Should be done entirely in English using gestures. shenyanggerry

    For beginners who are studying “General English”, I usually start with greetings, common phrases, naming things in everyday life and so on. Then move on to topics of interest to them.

    You need to find out what interests the student. Maybe it’s football or music or business protocol or the world of finance or Megan Fox - whatever they are interested in you teach it! ICAL
