What are the opportunities for teaching English in Singapore?

teaching english
furakku asked:

With a TEFL(Teaching English as a foreign language) or TESOL(Teaching English to speakers of other languages) certificate? What are the Visa requirements for British passport? What is it like to live there?
Do I have to get a job before I can enter the country?

Singapore have many experience english teachers already, local or foreigner. You only can end up teaching english to other non speaking english- foreigner.

I can answer part of your question. Unless you have a degree from an accredited English-speaking university (in addition to a TEFL or TESOL certificate), your opportunities for work as an English teacher will be very limited. UK nationals do not need a visa to enter Singapore for thirty days as visitors. Singapore is a nice place, but everything is expensive. Housing cost is under control if you are a legal resident.

You can be a ESOL(English Speakers of Other Language) teacher at a international school in Singapore. All international school has ESOL teachers. I went to 3 international schools in my life and each of them had ESOL teachers. You can first search up some international schools in Singapore and see if they need a ESOL teachers. Usually teaching at international schools your salary would be pretty high.
    good luck
