I am going overseas to teach English as a Second language soon and would like to know just some general good information and resource books. Thanks!

My absolute favorite place to go for ESL stuff is prolingua

Try their Basic Books special..The ESL Miscellany is the best ESL book ever and their games are fantastic and really work in the classroom.

The English Vocab in Use/English Grammar in Use series are lifesavers. Ready-made homework/lesson if you are inclined to laziness or have students that demand homework EVERY single lesson…Also, as a bonus, they’re really good!
I’ve given the links to the first books in each range.
