John asked:

I teach in Korea. I’m going to be teaching a couple of kids about 11 years old. They have recently returned from the U.S. and speak at a fair level; far beyond most elementary school level textbooks.

I would like to find a high-intermediate textbook that is geared toward young learners. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks.

How can I teach low beginner esl students the difference between cardinal and ordinal numbers?

I would certainly appreciate receiving any suggestions about how to teach cardinal and ordinal numbers to a class of low beginner Chinese seniors, whether your idea is an activity or a reference to a textbook or online reference that I might be able to access or buy.

Thank you in advance.
Just to add a little clarity, I am teaching English as a second language to a class of folks who speak very, very little English. I want to teach them when to say 1, 2, 3, etc and 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc.
Thanks Jatef. Very helpful.
Jennie: I’m doing this work on a volunteer basis for an United Way-funded organization. I don’t have a course guideline; there is not curriculum; I can do whatever I want. Yikes!
