Who stole my Waffles? asked:

It’s a career I’m interested in, but many of the colleges I’m interested in do not have an ESL Education major. Would it be possible to major in regular education first, then get ESL certification? Are there any other options?

Where can I go to get an ESL certificate in Tokyo, Japan? Not online, but in a school?

I would like to teach English as a Second Language in Tokyo. I’ve been searching for a place to earn my ESL certification that is located in Japan. I don’t want to take online courses. Any help would be appreciated because I can’t seem to find a good website! Specific names of universities, colleges, etc would be good too! Thank you!!

im an ESL, and i started to speak English 2 years ago, and now i have to apply to college. i worked very hard at school, so my grades are good, including english, my english score is going up every semester, now it’s A, but my SAT (english) score is not high at all. and i know a lot of colleges had posted their min score for SAT, and i couldn’t reach that high. will it matter a lot? also, im like all the other students who are working very hard in school and also join a lot of activities outside of school. will the colleges reduce english requirement for ESLs?
