It depends on whether or not you want to teach English or teach English to non-native English speaking students. What do you want to specialize in? Is it in English as in literature, poetry or composition? Or are you interested in teaching non-native English speaking students, grammar, speaking, listening, reading and writing?

As for whether or not it's better to study in England or in the U.S., that's really up to you. Again it depends on what type of specialty you are interested in. The content of the curriculum will possibly differ in either country.

Best wishes!
