I have been teaching for about a year now...in Prague...but I know plenty of people who are teaching with just a TEFL certificate. It just depends on what country you want to teach in. You can definitely get a teaching job in Mexico with a TEFL Certificate. Mexico is one place that does not require a BA for teachers - at least most schools don't. Being a native speaker is your most bankable commodity, so make sure that you note that in your CV and cover letter. Also note that you speak Spanish. Do you already have your TEFL Cert? If you do, then also get a letter of recommendation from your teachers there as well. Every little bit helps.
