Hello people. I always wnated to be a high school english teacher, but now i am thinking that i might want to teach ESL(English as a second language). So i was wondering, if i go to college and study to become an English teacher, but then change my mind and choose to teach ESL, can i do that? will i have to take any additional classes?

You will have to take additional courses to teach ESL——–check with your local colleges about their ESL add-on programs————-most programs will allow you to major in English and with a ESL add-on
Good luck!!!

if you do that you need to take many foreign languages and maybe even minor in ESL.
