Apparently, this is your second attempt to get help from the Yahoo Community. I saw your resolved question. If I were you, I’d seek private schools perhaps, or think of using your minor or some other subject matter to become credentialed so you can get work.
Contact the school board and have a conversation with someone. I am sure somebody can help you. The need for teachers is so very high and if you are credentialed, you should be able to find work. I think I might have researched a little more before making the trek from California without knowing I had a job in my field or the potential.
There “are” jobs around - Nashville in particular needs ESL teachers however, I would never move without knowing I had a potential contract and was ready to go to work.
Good luck to you.

Jobs are scarce here right nowl Most first year teachers have lost their jobs. I’ve been teaching for 6 years and lost mine in February. and I had no problems or bad things in my file. they had to lose 16 positions and bam I was out the door-1000 for an attorney. Try the below link
Most of the contracts are not even going out until May 15 so no one knows other that brand new teachers and a few of the olders teachers that the principals don’t like. Try Lex2.org and look for Bonnie Byrd. She handles ESL for Lexington two. We have 5 districts in the area but are all in sad shape right now. I have been looking for an nurse job (I am an RN) and have a CATE teaching certificate. I was even teacher of the year, month and health science oustanding new teacher for the sc division and SC Association of Career and Technology new outstanding teacher of the year and BAM!
Two months and 24 applications later, still looking. Good luck.
