How to create a Good ESL class flyer/poster?

I am trying to create flyers for my English class in China. But I have seen templates from other ESL classes, but found them to be uncreative.
Please offer some suggestions and examples of a good flyer. (especially need catch examples XD does not have to be about ESL)
