How much can a qualified ESL teacher expect to charge per hour to private business students in Japan?
Gus asked:
I will be celta certified in January and plan to go to Japan anyway as part of a round the world trip.

I have an MA in linguistics focusing on TESOL and I get paid 4,000 yen/hour. I would say you could probably get that or 3,000 yen/hour. However, it seems that you won’t be in Japan for a extended period of time. It might be difficult to get students if you can’t commit to an extended amount of time.
