There are ESL teachers and I don't know if you are one or not. There are workbooks and reading books for ESL for adults. I cna't remember the name now of the guy, but seems like Lauber. You might check with the public library. mine had an ESL class for adults and the books were very inexpensive and I ordered some for a friend who was on a mission and teaching Thai and Hmong natives who had come from Vietnam war. He worked teaching the gospel and teaching English.

Good luck.
