Tony asked: Hi,
My first language was english and i’ve been in Canada for at least 5 years, i have all my kindergarden and elementry report cards, i’ve went to a international school in hong kong(canada approved international school) for a few years, this year i went back to canada for high school. But they didn’t want my report cards, instead, they thinked that i’m a guy that doesn’t know how to speak english and put me in ESL4. is there anyway that i can get out of esl and go 2 normal classes?
Thanks
i hav a chinese teacher for esl that couldn’t speak perfect english instead she can’t even pronounce some of the words correctly. she gives me a bunch of hwk which i hav to finish in 1 night. she also has some discrimination with some students. i passed ESL test this year but she just personally won’t let me get out of esl.

AG asked: I trained as a teacher at uni and have a 2.1 in Primary Education (7-11) with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status). Although whilst at uni I did 4 seperate teaching practices I didn’t do my NQT year as I got the travel bug. I have however spent the last 2 years in Japanese elementary schools teaching English.
My problem is that I am moving to Princeton with my partner and I would like to work. Can I teach with my current certificate or not?
I have tried reading the information provided by the state, but it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense!
Please help!

Chal asked:
For example, if a student who knows zero English is enrolled at a public school, does he attend all regular classes? Do schools typically have a program for ESL students? What is that like?

John asked: I teach in Korea. I’m going to be teaching a couple of kids about 11 years old. They have recently returned from the U.S. and speak at a fair level; far beyond most elementary school level textbooks.
I would like to find a high-intermediate textbook that is geared toward young learners. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks.

Just looking for YES or NO results. Primary research for potentially opening an after school program for ages 5-17 that focuses on teaching English as a Second Language to students whose native language is other than English - especially focused on children with Spanish and Asian native languages.
