Starting Tuesday, I am volunteering to teach English to members on the houskeeping staff at my university. I was wondering if anyone has some helpful hints. Also, I’m afraid of teaching them as if they are children because I’ve only ever taught children anything; is there any way out of that?

I’m prepping for an TEFL interview tomorrow in LA and one of our things is to teach a (pretend) group of Japanese adults who only know basic English.

I’ve been at lost of words on what to teach/how to teach. the guidelines state that we need to prep for a 30 min lesson, however we only need to present 5 mins of our lesson. Any ideas?

I’m starting to think teaching ESL may be something I’m interested in, since I already want to major in linguistics. What’s the process of teaching abroad? What’s the typical job availability/pay? Do I have to be fluent in the language of the country I teach in? What are the most common/best countries to go to? Any advice or experience would be appreciated.
