daddykane2000 asked: I heard that a list exists which allows recruiters and schools to black list problem ESL teachers. Does anyone know if this actually exists? Just curious.

Baluda asked: I was just wondering if there’s anyone out there who has delt with unprofessional esl recruiting agencies-whether it be a representative who has simply ignored your email/application, or someone who has just generally given you rotten service. I would like to know which agencies I should avoid. I’ve had a few bad experiences already and don’t want to waste my time dealing with idiots.

Ivan the Fabulous asked: From what I hear, ESL teachers(native speakers) at public schools(elementary to high school) get around 2,500,000KRW (2,200USD) per month.
Then how much do ESL teachers (and foreign instructors) at universities and colleges normally make?
I believe most university instructors/lecturers have MA degrees, so do they get more money than high school ESL teachers?

g-money asked: How do you get a job teaching English in Korea?
I’m interested in learning how to get a job teaching English in Korea. I am currently living in the Philippines, however, I grew up in the United States. I speak, read, and write English perfectly (being an American of course), however, what credentials do you need? I would like to know the following things:
What credentials do you need?
Do you need a teaching certificate?
Do you need to know how to speak Korean before you go?
How is the pay for teaching English there?

average joe asked: I would like to teach in Korea. It sounds like an interesting experience. However, I have heard some good things about it and some bad things. I’m Southeast Asian so I’m wondering how do they feel about people like me? I’ve heard that its a lot of fun to experience Korea but there must be some negative things that go along with it.
What are some of the good and bad things about teaching ESL and living in Korea? And what are some of the bad things?
