randomcrap1988 asked: I’ve been looking at the possibility of teaching English in Japan next year. I’ve seen things where you can go with just a bachelor’s degree and no foreign language experience. The problem is, the JET program deadline has passed, and I’ve heard Aeon and Aclipse (and recruiters like that) are somewhat illegitimate. Can anyone offer first hand experience about a program they have done (or no someone who has done a program) that they can recommend?

Michael S asked: What are some good websites for teaching English abroad in Asia?
I am looking to teach primarily in Thailand. Does anyone know of any good websites with companies that offer teaching contracts for Thailand? As well, I am interested in teaching English in Japan, China, Korea, or Vietnam. Can anyone recommend any sites for those places as well?
Best,
Michael

tresflip1 asked: Hi,
I’m currently living in Japan with a spouse visa and I’m bored teaching English.
I can speak a little of the language and write a very little amount.
I really want to do a different job other then teach English but I don’t know what I can do.
I have looked for other types of work but without much joy.
Any advice or information?
Thank you in advance.

tokyo_michigan asked: I have heard of the term “Japanese Friendship” for guys, compared to “North American” Friendship. I’d like to know if I were to be an ESL teacher in Japan, if I would be able to get an actual friend, not just someone who would hang out with me (after ESL, after work, or on the weekends, etc.), just so they could learn better English, but an actual friend.
Please Help! Any negative answers will be deleted.

douglas j asked:
I have been teaching for five years in South Korea. I thought it would be easier to get a job in Japan based on my experience. So why is it so hard to get a position? Since it will be my first year in Japan I am not too concerned about where or what kind of school it is.
