capnvalcano asked: I’ve noticed that many public school teachers get Masters of Education. I am not interested in working for a public school, only the university level.

Sierra C asked: I am thinking about teaching english abroad in China or Spain(they don’t require a 4 year degree) and I will be transferring schools next year in 2009 to complete a program they have online. Will I be able to do my school work through distance learning while in another country? I get to be in another country learning their language while working a full-time job and completing my education. I just want to know that I won’t have any technical difficulties.

Maldives asked: We need a book that has a good section on research papers and writing with MLA style. Some grammar would be good too. (A book like this may not exist.)
I am looking for a 101 text, not a style manual or handbook. The text would introduce writing essays in different styles (argument, narrative, process, etc.), and include a chapter on research papers.

BSS asked: I’m starting to think teaching ESL may be something I’m interested in, since I already want to major in linguistics. What’s the process of teaching abroad? What’s the typical job availability/pay? Do I have to be fluent in the language of the country I teach in? What are the most common/best countries to go to? Any advice or experience would be appreciated.

yesucan asked: English is my second language, now my question is, that i want to take some college credit classes, are they gonna accept me, or do i have to finish ESL for me to be able to take credit classes, now I did take the TOEFL test the score is 61 and I know its probably a little low, but i know i can score higher. So what do you think, I just want your opinion, because I know I still have to call the college and talk to them.
Thank you…
