Before you get a job teaching you will need a TEFL certificate. I mean, you can find jobs that don't require one, but the pay won't be very much.

I have been teaching abroad for 2 years in Prague and loving it! Prague is a great place for new teachers since there is a HUGE market for English here. I did a 4 week TEFL Cert course (TEFL Worldwide Prague) and was teaching 2 weeks later. It was hard work, but well worth it. Prague is an amazing city: cheap, central and fun. I highly reccomend it.

Here's my advice:

1) Decide which country you want to work in. Also, decide what kind of job you want: university, grade school, language school. (By the way, you need at least a Masters to teach at most universities. Grade school requires a teaching certificate. Most language schools will take just a Bachelors.)

2) Go to the websites below and look for jobs in the country or countries you are interested in.

3) Then go to Dave's ESL Cafe (www.eslcafe.com), International Job Boards section, and look for information about teaching in that country. Ask a lot of questions, so you don't end up in a job that is "not legitimate".
