From your previous question, I got to know that you’re only 18 and that’s very young.
Before moving to Asia, you should have a Bachelor Degree and if you plan to teach English, you should have a certificate in that area, such as CELTA, TESOL, etc.
Just because you’re from the US and English is your mother tongue doesn’t make you a qualified person to teach English.
Get certified, get lots of information about Asia, get in touch with Americans who have been or who are in Asia.
Feel free to email me if you wanna ask other questions. Good luck!

Cheesecake has a good answer. I taught in Japan and Korea for 4 years. The minimum requirement is a university degree. You don’t need to know the local language ahead of time. A CELTA certificate is the one to get. It is the most well known. However, you can still get a job without one.
Teaching abroad is a wonderful experience. I loved my 4 years in Asia and I miss my life there. I would never trade my experiences for anything.
