Are there english teaching jobs in Saudi Arabia?
Desperatecollegestudent asked:
I am looking for a job teaching english in Saudi Arabia, but I have no teaching certificate, no real experience teaching, and no TEFL certificate. I would be happy to get one while in the country, but will not be getting one in the US My main qualifications are that I speak english as my mother language, and that I will be graduating with a bachelor’s degree this year. Anyone have any suggestions for me? I would really love if anyone had places for me to apply! Thanks in advance!

You can try, most institutions will ask for a degree, but you can teach low level of English, or kids. If you’d live in a rich area you’ll get alot of money teaching private lessons, that will not need certificate I guess.
wish you the best. Isa

You could make a good amount just teaching private lessons to kids…if you’re good, word travels fast. You could try sending out emails to teaching institutions, see if they require you to have a teaching qualification…chances are some won’t if you’re a native speaker. 123abc123abc

I doubt you’ll find a job in Saudi teaching English without any certification or experience from outside of the Kingdom. If you were already here, you could probably find a job as a local hire, which would pay less and not have as many benefits. Also, private tutoring pays well, but you’d have to already be here. I make more money tutoring private lessons that I do in the school..
you can charge from 100sr to 200sr (200 is rare, but I have one)
per hour per child..
if you get groups you can charge more..
I also do sessions like 6 week reading enrichment sessions for groups.. you can charge 1000Sr per session per student..
the money is excellent and you make your own hours and can pre-screen what student you want or dont want.. ^_^
all they really want is to learn how to speak english (american english preferably).. you help them with their school homework in english, get them to read and talk to you as much as possible.. maybe have a few printout work sheets you find anywhere on the internet.. Mintee
