This means that, much like politicians, they'll say and do whatever is needed to get you to sign a contract. In my 2.5 years in Korea I have only heard of a few positive recruiter experiences. If you are looking to get a job at a public school, go through EPIK or apply directly with the school district. Check out Dave's ESLCafe for a huge list of jobs and try to avoid recruiters. If you took many teaching courses at a university, you would be preferred though.
