watercoloursfmr asked: i am writing an ad to attract ESl students on the Internet to my home to give private lessons. I have written ads but don’t seem to get enough business. I thought perhaps if I posted this question to the community someone might have some information I don’t that could help me get MORE BUSINESS COMING TO MY HOME.
What do you think are effective words to attract students wanting to improve the English who live in the local area. I am interested in attracting Adults and Teenagers.

Audge asked: I have been asked to submit a proposal for teaching ESL to the parents of the kids that attend a private school in Mexico. Is it appropriate to propose that I get paid according to how many students I have or per class per hour? I am a first time teacher of ESL and not familiar with how this works.

Maldives asked: We need a book that has a good section on research papers and writing with MLA style. Some grammar would be good too. (A book like this may not exist.)
I am looking for a 101 text, not a style manual or handbook. The text would introduce writing essays in different styles (argument, narrative, process, etc.), and include a chapter on research papers.

rosenkrantz asked: I taught English as a second language for a year in South Korea, and I am planning on applying for a year in another country. One of the questions is “What makes a good esl teacher. The second one is, “What makes a good lesson?” You could probably write a book on these two questions. What would be good, concise answers

Empress asked: I am very interested in getting my Associates in Foreign Language education with certification in TESOL/ESL. I really want to teach in public schools during the school year but want to travel as a TESOL teacher during the summer, but I’m a parent and would love my child to gain that experience instead of boring camp! Help please! Thanks!
