yesucan asked: English is my second language, now my question is, that i want to take some college credit classes, are they gonna accept me, or do i have to finish ESL for me to be able to take credit classes, now I did take the TOEFL test the score is 61 and I know its probably a little low, but i know i can score higher. So what do you think, I just want your opinion, because I know I still have to call the college and talk to them.
Thank you…

BSS asked: I’m starting to think teaching ESL may be something I’m interested in, since I already want to major in linguistics. What’s the process of teaching abroad? What’s the typical job availability/pay? Do I have to be fluent in the language of the country I teach in? What are the most common/best countries to go to? Any advice or experience would be appreciated.

DHG4 asked: Hi,
I am a CELTA certified US college grad who is thinking of doing some part-time ESL tutoring online to make some extra cash, while I work on getting a permanent position abroad in 2010.
I have seen a lot of job ads for many different ESL tutoring websites, does anyone have any experience with one? Can anyone recommend a reputable site that won’t scam me?
Thanks in advance

ThatsPopetastic asked: I teach English in Korea to Koreans around the age of 40-50, and am looking for ideas on how to teach them and make the class interesting. Their English level is relatively intermediate to advanced, and I have about 7-10 students. I have about one hour to teach them(twice a week). I have access to a computer and a projector screen.
Note: This is my first time teaching.

5781 asked: Hi
I’ve to teach children aged around 15. Most of them have little confidence in speaking/communicating by using English. It is my job to teach and make sure they practice their english. Right now, I am planning to teach English (speaking) through certain activities such as board games, etc.
Any ideas what sort of activities should I use?
Thanks a lot.

nani asked: I was wondering how can I teach an adult English when they don’t even know their literacy in their own language.I have been teaching ESL to many adults and I’ve been able to teach them English in less than a year(if they know their grammar). But when I get to students that didn’t have the change to go to school in their native country.I try to teach them the grammar in their own language but it is still very hard for them. Is there a book or anything that would make learning English easier for them.
