I’ve been asked by someone I work with to help them prepare for a verbal exam on medicine. My native language is English, and I have quite a firm grasp on grammar and pronunciation. However I did not major in English in college, and the only teaching experience I have has to do with volunteering in high school. I have never tutored before, and don’t feel comfortable assigning a rate, but the coworker has insisted.

Any suggestions?

I have a BA in English and work as a tutor and occasionally come across some students where English is their second language. I also plan on traveling overseas to teach English next summer and want to be ESL certified by then. How do I go about getting certified? Are there courses I take or how does it work?

I am trying to create flyers for my English class in China. But I have seen templates from other ESL classes, but found them to be uncreative.

Please offer some suggestions and examples of a good flyer. (especially need catch examples XD does not have to be about ESL)

Thanks

I am going to become a high school teacher, but I’m uncertain of what I would like to major in. History would be really fun to learn, but I hear hundreds of people compete for one job in that subject. The humanities interest me. Is there/ will there be a bunch of competition for jobs for ESL teachers? What about Spanish teachers?
