Chal asked:
For example, if a student who knows zero English is enrolled at a public school, does he attend all regular classes? Do schools typically have a program for ESL students? What is that like?

Cougar asked:
Which students should be placed with a certified ESL teacher? High functioning, middle functioning or low? I’m not ESL certified & had high students who did extremely well this year. The low students were placed with another non-certified ESL teacher while the middle functioning were placed with the ESL certified teacher. Next year, they are placing the high students with the certified teacher. This doesn’t make sense to me. What are the guidelines?

flipperr asked: I was told that I have an interview for an ESL (Korea) position next week that will be conducted over the phone. I’d like to know if the interview is a formal one or a casual one.
What type of questions will they ask me? Is it a difficult interview?

flipperr asked:
Is ESL still in demand in Korea? And is it easy to get a job there? Is the interview process difficult? I’ve heard that they just want to hear your accent but I’ve also heard that there might be more to the interview than just that.

Amanda S asked:
I am the Marketing Manager of a small franchise. The job position open is for door-to-door marketing, and requires a lot of communication with customers and potential clients regarding the services we offer. Over 99% of our customers speak English, thus our business is based in the English language. I am hiring a team of people, but have many people applying who I do not feel can competently do the job based on their knowledge of the language - they are ESL students at the university and are not fluent in English. Is it wrong for me to not hire these people based on the fact that they are not fluent in English?

Arlene K asked: Is it illegal for an ESL teacher to teach private lessons in Korea?
I’ve heard that there are some schools that will allow you to teach private lessons. Is this true? If so, do many schools allow this or is it just a few?
